This year’s OmicsDatathon, lead by Dr Rob Ewing, Associate Professor in Proteomics and Systems Biology within Biological Sciences at the University of Southampton, takes place virtually over two days in May.
Thursday 12th May 2022, 14:00 – 17:15, and Friday 13th May 2022, 10:00 – 14:30.
Day 1 – There is a guest speaker – Dr Robert Andrews from the University of Cardiff, and breakout sessions, where students will put into practice what they learned in the first part of the Data Management Module, using a dataset from one of their host laboratories.
Day 2 – Students will continues to work in groups on their data set, then each group will give a lightning presentation highlighting a result or finding from their analysis, a problem they encountered or a tool they found particularly useful.
