PIPS project title: Marketing and Science Communication

During Adam’s PIPS placement he joined the marketing services team at Promega UK, they are a global life science company with their UK headquarters based in Southampton. During his placement with the marketing services team he was involved in a range of activities including marketing content creation for a variety of social media platforms, customer relations management, data analysis, and planning a conference.

The placement was extremely valuable in exposing Adam to the workings of the life science industry. It provided an insight into the roles available in the life science industry and what job roles he could explore post research.

The experience was very enjoyable and being able to apply his skills and knowledge to the life science industry was invaluable. The experience has given him a more focused idea of what career he would like to pursue in the future.
